I went to the National Women’s Studies Assocication (NWSA) 32nd Annual Conference this past weekend with some amazing women from Women Involved in Living in Learning (WILL) from the University. It was such as enlightening conference. I’m inspired to changed the world some more! HAHA. I went book crazy when I was at the conference and bought some contemporary books on feminism. I’m really excited to read these and will find the time in my schedule to do so. Honestly, I’d rather read these than my actual homework readings. Jennifer Baumgardener was there and signed F’em! I also got a book for free signed by the author since she was proud of my work thus far as an undergrad. This book is entitled Activist Art in Social Justice Pedagogy. The women at the conference really inspired me to continue learning and working towards affecting social change in the future!
